Our client, a well-established bilingual boutique firm with a general practice since 1961, is seeking a notary to join its dynamic and growing team. The firm offers a wide range of services, including financing, residential and commercial real estate transactions, wills, protection mandates, and estate settlement.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise a diverse clientele in matters of real estate, inheritance, family and commercial law
• Draft and authenticate various notarial acts such as deeds relating to real estate transactions, wills, various contracts, and draft legal opinions
• Conduct title reviews and write reports
• Ensure diligent file management while fostering strong, trust-based client relationships

Required Skills

• Master’s degree in notarial law
• Member of La Chambre des notaires du Québec
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in notarial practice with initial experience in residential or commercial real estate law, inheritance law
• Knowledge of the Para-Maître system (an asset) and the MS Office suite
• Bilingualism (predominantly English-speaking clientele)
• Strong aptitude for teamwork
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to new situations
