The Role
As a Notary, you will be responsible for the full management of your files, primarily in estates and real estate matters. You will work directly with clients and be involved in all stages of mandates, from initial consultation to final execution.
The role offers a high level of autonomy while encouraging collaboration with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage files in estates and real estate law
- Advise clients on their rights and legal matters
- Draft and execute notarial acts and legal documentation
- Prepare and lead client meetings
- Conduct legal research, including title searches when required
- Ensure proper follow-up and adherence to deadlines
- Collaborate with other notaries on certain files
- Participate in internal projects and initiatives
- Maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
- Member in good standing of the Chambre des notaires du Québec
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in notarial practice
- Experience in estates and/or real estate law
- Strong analytical skills and practical approach
- Autonomy, rigor and strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Positive attitude and engagement
- Fluency in French required
- Knowledge of Pronotaire software (an asset)
