The Role

As a Real Estate Notary, you will advise and support clients through transactional and real estate matters while working closely with legal technicians and other team members.

You will be involved in all stages of mandates, from client meetings to the completion of transactions.

Responsibilities

• Meet with and advise clients regarding their legal matters
• Support clients throughout the transactional process
• Prepare, analyze and draft legal documents and notarial deeds
• Conduct searches with the Land Registry, Enterprise Register and RDPRM
• Collaborate with legal technicians in the completion of mandates
• Ensure proper follow-up of files and deadlines
• Manage trust funds
• Contribute to the quality and efficiency of client services

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Chambre des notaires du Québec
• Strong interest in real estate law and transactions
• Excellent interpersonal and client-service skills
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
• Rigor, discretion and professional ethics
• Team-oriented with strong autonomy
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Knowledge of Para-Maître software (asset)
