This opportunity is intended for a professional with recognized expertise in complex transactions who wishes to evolve within a global platform capable of supporting the growth of a high-value strategic practice

The firm advises international financial institutions, investment funds, private lenders and major corporations on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions

The Role

As a Partner in Banking & Finance, you will play a key role in the structuring, negotiation and execution of complex credit transactions, representing both lenders and borrowers. You will be involved in major matters including syndicated financings, acquisition financings, structured financings and cross-border transactions

The role also includes a significant strategic dimension, including client development, practice positioning and contribution to the firm’s global initiatives

Responsibilities

• Lead complex financing transactions, both domestic and international
• Structure and negotiate syndicated financings, acquisition financings, asset-based financings and structured financings
• Advise financial institutions, funds and major corporations on sophisticated credit operations
• Oversee the drafting and negotiation of credit agreements, security packages and transaction documents
• Coordinate multidisciplinary and multi-jurisdictional teams
• Maintain and develop an existing client base and actively contribute to business development
• Mentor and develop lawyers within the team

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Québec Bar
• Recognized expertise in banking and finance within a top-tier practice
• Established client portfolio or demonstrated ability to develop a practice
• Significant experience in complex and cross-border transactions
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage strategic mandates
• Leadership, business vision and strong strategic mindset
• Bilingual (French/English)
