The Role

You will play a central role in the growth of the litigation group by leading major files and contributing to the strategic direction of the practice. Your leadership and vision will help shape the firm’s evolution, which values legal excellence as much as collaboration, support, and the genuine enjoyment of working together.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic civil and commercial litigation files
• Develop and oversee litigation strategies, analyze evidence, and supervise examinations, hearings, and procedural steps
• Plead before various courts and act as a key resource for the team
• Advise a diverse clientele on sensitive matters requiring a structured and proactive approach
• Mentor, supervise, and support team members while ensuring the quality of all work
• Play an active role in business development, practice growth, and the firm’s positioning
• Contribute to the visibility of the litigation group through professional initiatives such as conferences, training, publications, and involvement within the legal community

Profile Sought

• Member in good standing of the Québec Bar
• Established portable book of business
• Recognized expertise in civil and commercial litigation, ideally with an existing team
• Strong advocacy skills, litigation strategy expertise, and experience managing high-stakes files
• Mobilizing leadership and the ability to unify and grow a team
• High level of rigor, sound judgment, and excellent writing and communication skills
• Bilingualism (French/English) preferred, given the diverse clientele
