The Role
As a Legal Assistant or Legal Technician in Real Estate, you will play an active role in the administrative and documentary management of files, working closely with notaries and various stakeholders involved in transactions.
You will contribute to file coordination, client communications and the preparation of documents required for the successful completion of mandates.
Responsibilities
- Open client files and verify required documentation
- Communicate with clients, financial institutions and other stakeholders
- Coordinate appointments and manage deadlines
- Conduct searches with the land registry and RDPRM
- Prepare, revise and update legal documents
- Collaborate with notaries in the management of real estate files
- Process funding requests with financial institutions
- Review municipal and school tax statements
- Assist with the administrative organization and follow-up of mandates
Requirements
- Diploma in Legal Techniques or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
- Knowledge of Para-Maître software (asset)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files
- Rigor, discretion and professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented with strong initiative
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
